Level Up Consulting provides legal services to owners of short term rental properties, offered on platforms such as Airbnb and Booking, in compliance with the amendments to the Law on Tourism in Bulgaria.

According to the amendments to the Law on Tourism of 25.02.2020 and the inclusion of guest rooms and guest apartments as tourist facilities – accommodation, legal and factual actions should be carried out to ensure that the rental of a real estate is in compliance with the Bulgarian legislation. In this regard, the legal team of Level up Consulting offers you the following:

1. Registration of the tourist facility in the Municipality as per location
2. Registration of the owner (legal or juridical person) in the Municipality
3. Registration under the Local Tax Act for taxation with patent tax in case there is no registration under VAT*
4. Submission of a declaration for taxation with tourist tax – annually until 30.01. for the previous year

* In case the owner (legal or juridical person) of the property is registered under VAT for the activities under item 1 and item 2 – the service fee will be less, as no registration under the Local Tax Act is required for taxation with patent tax.
